Wind Energy on Lake Moves Forward

Posted by - 03.29.2010

Advanced energy is one of the industry clusters partners in Advance Northeast Ohio have targeted for growth. And one of the region's major initiatives in that sector is the development of fresh water wind turbines.

On March 29, the Lake Erie Energy Development Corp. said it is ready to award a contract to a developer to to buld between four and eight turbines in the lake. LEEDCO is a nonprofit that is one of the projects being pursued by NorTech's Energy Enterprise. NorTech is the region's technology-based economic development organization.
