Midwest Leading Job Recovery

While the economy is growing, job growth continues to slow but there are encouraging signs that the Midwest may be leading the way on that job growth.
Harold Miller, who runs the great Pittsburgh's Future blog, points out that Pittsburgh topped the country's major metropolitan areas in job growth from March to April. I found it interesting that 7 of the top 10 job growth markets are in the Midwest; with Cleveland ranking sixth. Over the last few economic cycles, the Midwest has lagged the rest of the nation when it comes to job growth. Perhaps, this period of economic growth will be different. View the job growth chart.
