Lake Partners Developing More Nurses

Posted byChris Thompson - 02.16.2011

Strengthening the region's ability to develop talent in growth industries is one of the goals of Advance Northeast Ohio and three partners in Lake County are doing just that by working together to increase the number of nurses earning a bachelor's degree.

The partnership involves Lake Health, Lakeland Community College and Kent State University Ashtabula. The new arrangement allows registered nurses with an associate's degree to obtain a bachelor's of science in nursing from Kent State by attending classes at Lake Health's TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
