Summit County Exec Announces New Jobs Partnership

Preparing the region's residents for jobs in growing industries is one of the goals of Advance Northeast Ohio and Summit County recently announced a new initiative aligned with that goal.
The Summit Jobs Partnership is described as a common sense approach that will provide job training services desired by growing employers.
Rick Armon of the Akron Beacon Journal covered Summit County Executive Russ Pry's state of the county speech last week.
"We must identify industry clusters that are important to the region and match training programs that make workers qualified for jobs in the new market," Pry said.
Summit County will work with the University of Akron and the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce to identify the needs of growing employers.
