Innovation Driving Industry Growth

Innovation drives the global economy and Northeast Ohio's economy is growing thanks to robust innovation assets that are boosting industries as diverse as energy and bioscience.
The region's promise as a hub of advanced energy companies is highlighted in a recent "industry road map" prepared by NorTech. The region has particular strength in energy storage, biomass and smart grid technologies. According to this story, the industry could generate 7,000 jobs over the next several years. NorTech will host a series of meetings and presentations on the advanced energy sector this summer. Check out the schedule of programs.
