Anti-Poaching Protocol Part of Regional Collaboration

Turing the Advance Northeast Ohio goal of more government collaboration into action can be challenging, but Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald is pushing hard for a new Business Attraction and Anti-Poaching Protocol that will result in more collaboration and less competition among communities of Cuyahoga County.

Patterned somewhat after a successful anti-poaching protocol in Summit County, the Cuyahoga version has attracted support from several communities, including Cleveland Heights, Parma, Berea and University Heights.

"This is an important first step in regional collaboration," Cleveland Heights Councilman Dennis Wilcox is quoted as saying in a recent Plain Dealer article.

Will anti-poaching protocols become a standard part of how our local governments commit to collaboration?
