Record Attendance Set at Cleveland International Film Festival

With a variety of arts and cultural destinations to explore in The Plus, the Cleveland International Film Festival is just one event drawing attention from around the world. As the Cleveland International Film Festival recently concluded, it boasted its most successful year to date and attracted interest from the global arts community (“Cleveland International Film Festival sets attendance record”).

This year’s Film Festival saw a 7 percent increase in attendance from last year’s event. In total, 71,554 film-goers experienced the excitement of the Cleveland International Film Festival. The event took place March 18 – 28 at the Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland. Film festival officials reported that more than 100 filmmakers and guests came from outside the country. This year’s event screened 153 feature films and 152 short subject films, with representation from 84 countries. Overall, attendance at the festival has doubled over the last seven years.
