Explore ThePlus

The tourism industry in the Cleveland Plus region is vibrant and diverse and is one of the largest industries in the region. The region draws more than 29 million visitors (who live at least 60 miles away) each year. The industry is the fourth largest employer in the region – behind only medical, government and manufacturing – supporting 170,728 jobs. Tourism provides a $13.9 billion impact which is 36% of the tourism impact for the state; more than any other region.

The Cleveland Plus region’s strength in tourism is based on the diversity of offerings. Within the region, visitors can see:

+ The world’s only Pro Football Hall of Fame and the world’s only Rock and Roll Hall of Fame;
+ A National Park with a scenic railroad and one of the largest Metroparks systems in the nation;
+ A world-class orchestra in a park-like setting or Broadway hits in opulently restored vaudeville theaters;
+ Top-notch chefs using locally grown produce to create unique flavors or vendors at the nearly-century-old West Side Market who have worked the same stand for generations; or
+ Huge roller coasters and Amish buggies.

The best people to tell you more about all the wonderful attractions in our region are the professionals at the local convention and visitors bureaus.
