The Plus Bus Tour of Northeast Ohio

Posted by ThePlus - 08.13.2010

Northeast Ohio is home to a diverse and rich collection of industries, businesses, organizations and individuals that are helping grow our economy. While Northeast Ohioans have much to be proud of, it is difficult to know about all the wonderful economic developments taking place throughout the 16 counties of The Plus. That’s why we set out to create an interactive experience to highlight Northeast Ohio’s strengths. We figured what better way to showcase The Plus region’s assets then by taking a tour of our region’s greatest pluses? That is how the idea of the Plus Bus came to life.

The Plus Bus, set to hit the road August 26th at 2:00 p.m., is a three-hour long bus tour of Northeast Ohio, featuring speakers and stops that help tell the story of The Plus region’s progress towards vibrancy. In addition to Cleveland Plus’ partners, speakers on the Plus Bus include Rod Crider of the Wayne Economic Development Council, Steve Morey from Team Lorain County, Deb Janik of the Greater Cleveland Partnership and Scott Rainone of the Austen BioInnovation Institute. The bus comes fully equipped with Wi-Fi and our own customized “Plus Bus” wrap so people can take notice as we travel throughout the region.

In addition to presentations, the Plus Bus will also feature stops at Kent Displays and the Akron Global Business Accelerator. At the Akron Global Business Accelerator, guests will have the chance to explore and drive a car from the Tallmadge based Myers Motors. The event will conclude with a reception at the Embassy Suites in Independence.

Over 50 members of Cleveland Plus advisory committees and their guests will be on board for the Plus Bus tour. You can stay up to speed on all of the Plus Bus action by following us on Twitter @BeThePlus or using the hashtag #PlusBus.
