Venture Capital Infusion for Syncro Medical Innovations
Posted by ThePlus - 06.17.2010
With thousands of innovative companies located in The Plus region it is no surprise that venture capital flows throughout Northeast Ohio. Syncro Medical Innovations of Youngstown is no exception as they recently received $800,000 in new venture capital to accelerate the research and marketing of their magnetically guided feeding tube, which is being used in hospitals.
Formed in 2005, Syncro has received funding from several sources such as the Ohio Third Frontier program and earmark grants from the U.S. Defense Department. The latest infusion of venture capital will go to making product enhancements and marketing/sales efforts. While the company looks to broaden its reach domestically, it is also looking to expand to European markets.
Syncro Medical Innovations is yet another “Plus” in Northeast Ohio’s economic system.
