Emerging Industries in Northeast Ohio

As reports continue to be issued highlighting the region's economic rebound, it is reasonable to ask what industries and comapnies will drive and sustain that growth into the future.
Here are a few clues that we've seen this month regarding what the future might hold:
- Manufacturing equipment for advanced energy projects will provide new market opportunities for old and new companies. Timken's wind center at Stark State will add 65 jobs.
- Smart sensors that can provide early-warnings of pending disasters or track equipment in factories will be designed and built here in Northeast Ohio, with the help of the SMART Center at Lorain County Community College.
- We'll be making long-lasting solar panels.
