About Advance Northeast Ohio

Northeast Ohio is a diverse region made up of 16 counties, five metropolitan areas and a broad range of urban, suburban, rural and natural assets. The region is home to more than 4 million residents and generates an annual economic output of $170 billion.

As diverse as our region is, Northeast Ohio is unifi ed by a shared economic future. In the global economy, the ability to increase jobs, grow incomes and attract investments is determined at the regional level. That means the fate of each community in Northeast Ohio is intertwined with the future of every other community across the region. This interdependence demands a shared economic competitiveness agenda. Guided by both broad public engagement and economic research, the Fund for Our Economic Future collaborated with partners in the public, business and civic sectors to develop that agenda: Advance Northeast Ohio.

Supported by more than 80 partners, Advance Northeast Ohio establishes a vision for the region; promotes the regional values and beliefs that guide how we act in Northeast Ohio; and sets the strategic economic priorities and goals to create a globally competitive region.

Partners in the agenda:

1. Support regional economic competitiveness initiatives to strengthen our region.

2. Collaborate with others to strengthen the region's economic competitiveness.

3. Align their institutional strategies and actions with the four priorities of Advance Northeast Ohio: business growth, talent development, racial and economic inclusion, and government collaboration and efficiency.
